Scott Chappell

Scott Chappell has extensive work experience in the financial industry. Scott began their career as a Senior Consultant at Accenture in 1989. Scott then worked as a Director at First Union Securities (now Wells Fargo) from 1994 to 2000. Afterwards, they served as a Vice President at Thomas Weisel Partners (now Stifel) in 2000. Scott then joined BIA Digital Partners in 2001, where they became a Partner and managed investments in various industries.

In 2013, they moved to BDCA (Benefit Street Partners) as a Managing Director, sourcing and managing direct investments in private companies. Lastly, Scott joined Barings in 2015 as a Managing Director in Global Private Finance, where they oversaw financing for middle-market buyouts, acquisitions, and recapitalizations.

Scott Chappell earned a BBA in Finance from the University of Georgia - Terry College of Business from 1985 to 1989. Scott later pursued an MBA with a focus in Finance at Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business from 1992 to 1994.
