Joonas Kukkonen

Joonas Kukkonen is an experienced technology leader currently serving as CTO at Bark.com since April 2023. Prior to this role, Joonas held the position of VP of Engineering at Chegg Inc. from January 2022 to April 2023 and was CTO at Busuu from February 2020 to April 2023, where leadership resulted in scaling the Engineering Department significantly. At Spotify, from March 2017 to February 2020, Joonas led a product area focusing on enhancing the podcast mobile experience while also serving as Chapter Lead, fostering best engineering practices among teams. Earlier roles include Mobile Development Manager at Fleetmatics, Head of Mobile App Development at Elisa, and various positions at the Helsinki Institute for Information Technology. Joonas holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Helsinki.
