Marcelo Roca is the VP of the AI Innovation team at Capria Ventures, where they focus on investing in startups within the Global South. Previously, Marcelo co-founded and served as Operations Director at Transops Inc., and held various leadership roles, including General Manager at RET Environmental Technologies and Executive Director at Xcala. They have a strong academic background with an EMBA from IAE Business School and are actively involved in education as a professor at multiple institutions. Passionate about entrepreneurship and innovation, Marcelo contributes to multiple organizations, including serving as a senator for the World Business Angels Investment Forum.
