Ryan Young

Ryan Young is an experienced professional with a strong background in management and education. Currently serving as Regional Director at Barnes & Noble, Inc. since April 2005, Ryan has held various positions including Area Manager, Senior Manager of Field Cafe Operations, and Field Training Manager. In addition to this extensive retail experience, Ryan contributed to academia as a faculty member at Wayne State University from September 2011 to December 2018. Ryan's educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Wayne State University, obtained between 2009 and 2017, and a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from the University of Illinois Springfield, completed in 2008. Prior experience also includes serving as a Floor Supervisor at Cooker Bar and Grill from September 1997 to September 2000.
