Nigel Jacob

Nigel Jacob is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in urban technology and civic innovation. Currently serving as a Fellow at the Barr Foundation since 2017 and an Executive Advisory Council member at WBUR, Jacob has held various advisory roles, including Board Member at coUrbanize and Advisory Board Member at the Engagement Lab @ Emerson College. Jacob co-founded the Mayor's Office of New Urban Mechanics in Boston and was involved with the Governor Baker's Transition Committee as a Senior Advisor for Emerging Technology. Jacob's academic credentials include a Master's degree in Computer Science from Tufts University and ongoing doctoral studies in the same field. Jacob's work focuses on applying technology to address social and civic challenges.
