Anton Botha

Anton Botha is an experienced operations professional with a strong background in commissioning and supervising processes within the mining and metals industry. Currently serving as Operations Superintendent and Advisor - Process Plant at Barrick Gold Corporation since May 2021, Anton has previously held significant roles at Ambatovy Joint-Venture, First Quantum Minerals, Uranium One Inc., Anglo American, and Hatch Africa. Expertise includes overseeing plant operations, ensuring production and quality targets, as well as leading commissioning activities for complex processes such as High Pressure Acid Leach and Pressure Oxidation circuits. Anton’s career began in laboratory analysis at Glencor Laboratories, where foundational skills in sample preparation and analysis were developed.
