Arthur Mgongo

Arthur Mgongo is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in the mining industry. Currently serving as Engineering Manager at Acacia Mining plc since December 2015, Arthur oversees all engineering and maintenance activities within the mine's operations. Prior to this role, Arthur held the position of Maintenance Manager at African Barrick Gold from May 2009, managing engineering and maintenance at Buzwagi Gold Mine. Earlier career experiences include a leading hand role in HME at Geita Gold Mine with African Mining Service-AMS and a supervisor position for HME and crusher operations at Orion Mining & Engineering Company. Arthur's educational background includes an Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology and a Postgraduate Diploma in Management from the University of Cape Town. Additionally, Arthur completed secondary education at Mazengo Secondary School with a focus on General Science.
