Candace Simpson

Candace Simpson is an experienced tax manager with a robust background in finance and taxation. Currently serving as the AME Tax Manager at Barrick Gold Corporation since September 2021, Candace previously held various roles at DRA Global from February 2013 to September 2021, including Head of Tax EMEA, Corporate Tax Manager, and Africa Tax Manager. Prior experience includes a position as Financial Accountant at DRA Projects (Pty) Ltd from February 2010 to January 2013 and Audit Supervisor at KPMG from January 2007 to February 2010. Candace holds multiple degrees from the University of Johannesburg, including a Post Graduate Diploma in International Tax Law, a Higher Diploma in Tax Law, and a Bachelor of Commerce, along with CA(SA) designation from SAICA and IRBA. Educational history also includes attendance at Brescia House School from 1994 to 2002.
