Dave Lawrence

Dave Lawrence is a highly experienced geologist currently serving as Principal Geologist at Barrick Gold Corporation since January 2019, where responsibilities include leading technical geology efforts for the Africa Middle East Division and driving business growth across the continent. Prior to this role, Dave held positions as Senior Exploration Geologist both at Barrick and at Randgold Resources Ltd, where significant contributions were made to various projects in Africa, including planning geochemical programs and overseeing exploration initiatives. Dave also has a background in research as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Kingston University, focusing on mineralogical evolution in gold deposits, coupled with earlier hands-on experience as an Exploration Geologist. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Mineral Deposit Geology from Kingston University and an MGeol in Geology from the University of Southampton.
