Eric Mkela

Eric Mkela is a highly skilled Plant Metallurgical Engineer at Barrick Gold Corporation, where responsibilities have included serving as the 2IC Comminution Metallurgical Engineer and as a Metallurgical Technician since June 2020. Prior experience includes roles as a Metallurgy Trainee at both the North Mara Gold Mine with Barrick Gold Corporation in July 2017, and at the Buzwagi Gold Mine with Acacia Mining plc in July 2016. Eric began in the industry as a Process Plant Trainee at Mdimi Mine Ltd in July 2015. Eric holds a Bachelor of Science in Metallurgy and Mineral Processing Engineering from the University of Dar es Salaam, completed in 2018, and completed secondary education at Tabora Boyz Secondary School from 2012 to 2014.
