Gerry Griesel

Gerry Griesel is an experienced geologist with a strong background in mineral exploration and project management within the mining industry. Currently serving as a Regional Exploration Geologist at Barrick Mining Corporation since November 2019, Gerry previously held roles as Senior Exploration Geologist at the same company and Senior Geologist at Newmont Mining Corporation. Gerry's expertise encompasses project management, mapping, 3D modeling, and mentoring junior geologists, as well as extensive experience in geologic modeling, near mine exploration, and petrography from earlier positions at Barrick Gold Corporation and the State of Alaska's Division of Geological & Geophysical Surveys. Gerry holds a Master of Science in Geology/Structural Geology and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental/Engineering Geology from Western Washington University.
