Gerry Griesel is a seasoned geologist with extensive experience in the mining and geological sectors. Currently serving as Regional Exploration Geologist at Barrick Mining Corporation since November 2019, Gerry previously held the position of Senior Geologist at Newmont Corporation from March 2017 to November 2019. With a strong background in project management, geological modeling, and exploration, Gerry has advanced through various roles at Barrick Mining Corporation, including Mine Geologist and Senior Geologist from July 2012 to March 2017. Earlier professional experiences include Geologist III at the State of Alaska and contract positions with AltaRock Energy and Otis Gold Corp, focusing on geological mapping, sample collection, and exploration reporting. Gerry holds an M.S. in Geology/Structural Geology and a B.S. in Environmental/Engineering Geology, both from Western Washington University.
