'Grigore Simon

Grigore Simon is a seasoned professional in the field of geology and resource management, currently serving as the Senior Vice President of Mineral Resource Management for North America at Barrick Gold Corporation since 2018. Prior experience includes roles at Newmont Mining Corporation, where Grigore held several senior positions, including Senior Vice President of Exploration and Vice President/General Manager of Greenfields Exploration, as well as Chief Geoscientist. Grigore's career also encompasses significant roles at Shell, including Technical Evaluation Team Leader for the Middle East and Exploration Manager in Angola, and consulting work at S.E.Kesler Consulting. Academia experience includes an Assistant Professor role at the University of Bucharest.
