James Clark is an experienced mining and finance professional currently serving as the Head of Mining for North America at Barrick Gold Corporation since April 2023. Prior to this role, James worked at National Bank Financial as the Director of Credit Capital Markets from September 2020 to April 2023, and held several key positions at Coeur Mining, Inc. including VP of Project Development from June 2017 to February 2020. Earlier experience includes serving as Sr. Operations Manager at The De Beers Group of Companies, and various management roles at De Beers Canada Inc, including Manager of Asset Optimization and Manager of Supply Chain & Asset Management. James began his career as Area Manager - Canada at DMC Mining Services from June 2001 to May 2010. Educational qualifications include an MBA from Ivey Business School at Western University and degrees in Engineering (Mining) and Economics from Laurentian University.
