John Gomez

John Gomez has extensive experience in the mining and maintenance sectors, currently serving as a Maintenance Advisor Lower Bench and previously as a Neutralization Plant Mechanical Supervisor at Barrick Gold Corporation since October 2011. Prior to this, John worked at Newmont Mining Corporation from June 2007 to September 2011, where roles included Mechanical Lead Hand and Mechanical Leader in the Gold Mill plant. Beginning career at Minera Yanacocha S.R.L. from January 2002 to June 2007 as a Mechanic in the North plant, John is well-versed in mechanical supervision and maintenance of various plant operations. John holds a Qualified Degree in Personnel Management from the Private University of the North and an Engineer’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, along with a degree in Machinery Plant Maintenance from the Higher Technological Institute-TECSUP.
