Jonathan de Wet

Jonathan de Wet is an experienced electrical engineer, currently serving as the Lead Electrical Engineer at Barrick Gold Corporation since August 2022. Prior to this role, Jonathan worked at DRA Global from May 2011 to August 2022, where responsibilities included managing multiple electrical supply contracts and overseeing the installation of various electrical reticulation systems. Jonathan also held the position of Electrical Engineer, focusing on the design and management of electrical installations for concentrator plants in the mining industry. Earlier in Jonathan's career, as a Project Engineer at Claassen Auret Inc from July 2009 to May 2011, responsibilities encompassed designing and managing electrical installations for the commercial sector and supervising subcontractors. Jonathan holds a B.Ing degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from the University of Johannesburg, completed between 2003 and 2009.
