Perry Hamel

Perry Hamel is a seasoned mining professional with extensive experience in technical and managerial roles within the industry. Currently serving as a Mining Consultant and Technical Advisor at Barrick Gold Corporation since October 2020, Perry previously held the position of Technical Services Manager at both Porgera Joint Venture and Lumwana Mining Company from 2017 to 2020 and 2013 to 2016, respectively. Career progression includes roles such as Senior Manager of Studies at Barrick Gold Corporation and Senior Project Engineer at Porgera Joint Venture, along with a tenure as Mine Superintendent at Newmont Corporation's Waihi Mine. Perry holds a Degree in Mining Engineering from Ballarat School of Mines and a Master of Business Administration with a focus on Project Management from Latrobe University.
