Simon Houle

Simon Houle is a seasoned geologist with extensive experience in the mining and exploration sector. Currently serving as the Exploration Manager for Barrick Gold Corporation in Canada since April 2022, Simon previously held the position of Chief Geologist at Azimut Exploration Inc. from November 2020 to March 2022. Prior to that, Simon worked as a Senior Exploration Geologist at Canadian Royalties Inc., overseeing a team focused on Nunavik Nickel exploration. Simon's career at Barrick Gold Corporation began in 2008, progressing through various roles including Senior Geologist and Project Geologist, with significant contributions to exploration projects in northern Canada and the Guiana Shield. Simon’s early career included educational roles and internships that established a robust foundation in geology, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Geology from Université du Québec à Montréal.
