Will Dixon

Special Projects at Barrick Gold Corporation

Will Dixon is an accomplished engineering professional with experience in various sectors, including hydrometallurgy, petroleum engineering, and nuclear design. Currently serving in special projects and as a process engineer at Barrick Gold Corporation since August 2021, Will is also the Barrick Gold Fellow of the Schwarzman Scholars Program for 2023-2024. Previous roles include process engineer at Hatch, where project evaluation and risk mitigation were key responsibilities, and petroleum engineer at Suncor Energy, focusing on steam-assisted gravity drainage oil wells. Will's academic journey includes a Master of Management Science from Schwarzman Scholars, a Bachelor's Degree in Materials Engineering from McGill University, and currently pursuing a Master of Science in International/Global Studies at Tsinghua University. Will's athletic achievements include being a member of the McGill Men's Varsity Swim Team, earning numerous academic and athletic awards.
