Barrie Beard Ltd has been a trusted name in both commercial and domestic electrical contracting for more than 40 years. Established in 1978 in Bromsgrove by the late Barrie Beard and his wife, Jackie, the company began as a small local business with a big ambition: to provide reliable, high-quality electrical services built on strong workmanship, integrity, and long-term customer relationships. Over the decades, that ambition has grown into a nationwide reputation, with the company now recognised for delivering exceptional design-to-installation services across a wide range of sectors.

At the heart of Barrie Beard Ltd’s success is its ability to manage and deliver bespoke commercial projects from start to finish. The company predominantly operates within the commercial market, where the majority of it’s contracts are tailored, project-specific installations. Unlike many contractors, Barrie Beard Ltd completes all key stages of the process in-house. This includes electrical calculations, construction drawings, BIM and AutoCAD design work, “as installed” documentation, and full O&M manuals. Having this comprehensive skill set under one roof ensures consistency, accuracy, and full alignment with client specifications throughout every stage of a project.

The company also provides LED energy-saving solutions and detailed lighting calculations, helping clients achieve greener, more efficient buildings. Whether designing lighting layouts, carrying out complex electrical load calculations, or preparing technical drawings and manuals, the in-house team works with precision and professionalism. Their expertise ensures that projects progress smoothly and in line with customer schedules, allowing the business to consistently avoid delays and maintain high levels of client satisfaction.
While the company is renowned for its commercial capability, its roots in domestic electrical work remain important.
