Barrow Forward Ltd is dedicated to providing our local community with outstanding, affordable leisure, recreation and wellbeing facilities and activities to influence healthier, happier lifestyles across Barrow-in-Furness. 

We are doing this through our Barrow Park Leisure Centre, opening our doors to the entire community, offering a welcoming, inclusive, accessible and enjoyable place to improve physical and mental wellbeing. 

As a caring and supportive not-for-profit organisation, we are committed to reducing health inequalities across our community, improving health and wellbeing, both physically and mentally, for members and visitors of all ages, abilities and backgrounds.

Our not-for-profit status means any profits we generate over the course of a year are reinvested into delivering even more wellbeing activities and support for the people of Barrow.

Barrow Park Leisure Centre is an inspiring wellness facility that includes:

Swimming – we offer a wide variety of classes and sessions for all ages and abilities in our six-lane, 25m training pool and leisure pool with interactive play zone, waves and slide

Gym – our state-of-the-art gym features cardiovascular, weight training equipment, a free weights zone and conditioning area

Sports hall – including free racquet sports bookings during off-peak times

Soft play area – to keep the little ones busy 

Sensory room for young babies

Fitness classes – we offer a wide range of classes to suit everyone, regardless of their fitness levels

Café – providing our members and visitors somewhere to relax and socialise.

We have a wide range of memberships that span personal, family, teen, kids, corporate and over-65s packages.

Our kids’ programme is focused on 3 to 15 year olds and has something for all ages from our great kids’ timetable, to kids’ gym sessions and our ever-popular weekly roller discos. We also run children’s camps during school holidays and offer an array of children’s party packages in our
