Oleg Barshay

Oleg Barshay has been working in the software engineering industry since 1998. Oleg began their career as a Research Associate at the CUNY Research Foundation, where they designed, developed, tested, deployed, and maintained WebToTeach, a web-based educational tool used for automatic homework checking and on-line examinations. Oleg also published a paper with Dr. Arnow. In 1999, they began working at IconNicholson as a Software Engineer. During their time there, they developed the security architecture, registration, personalization and internationalization functionality for Spencer Stuart Talent Network, a leading management consulting firm specializing in senior-level executive search and board director appointments. Oleg also designed, developed and tested the Ontology, a content management system which served as the back end foundation for Advanstar Communucations' B2B network. Additionally, they were involved in the development, testing, and deployment of the web site for the Metropolitan Museum of Art. In 2001, they began working at AB Watley Group as a Senior Software Engineer, where they developed, tested, deployed, and maintained Ultimate Trader and Power E*TRADE Pro direct access stock trading applications. Oleg also developed, tested, deployed, and maintained the back-end transaction management and market data servers used by the Ultimate Trader product. Finally, in 2002, they founded Barshay Software Inc., where they serve as the Principal.

Oleg Barshay received their high school diploma from Brooklyn Tech in 1995, where they studied Computer Science. Oleg then attended Brooklyn College, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science in 1998.
