John Burrows

John Burrows has been a CEO and strategic leader for companies in the specialty chemicals and drug delivery systems industry for over two decades. John is currently the CEO of Bartek Ingredients, a global producer of food ingredients.

Burrows began their career in 1995 as the President & CEO of SPI Holding Company. John successfully grew the company from a $50M domestic player to a $250M global leader in just over a decade. In 1998, they sold the company to Associated British Foods and managed the transition from private equity ownership to public ownership.

After a short stint at Delavau llc, Burrows returned to the specialty chemicals industry in 2013 as the President & CEO of Bartek Inc. There, they led the company back from the brink of bankruptcy, increasing Pharma revenue by 400% and reducing costs significantly. John's breakthrough continuous pharma manufacturing processes attracted large OTC brands, making Bartek a best-in-class contract manufacturer.

In 2018, Burrows was named CEO of Bartek Ingredients, where they continue to lead the company to success. Under their leadership, Bartek has become a leading global producer of food ingredients, known for its high quality, cost-effective products and speedy turnaround times.

John Burrows has a Master of Business Administration from the University of Virginia - Darden Graduate School of Business Administration, a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and Leadership training from the US Army-101st Airborne.
