Ian Scott has extensive work experience in the insurance industry. Ian started their career at JLTUK in 2004, working as a Regional Managing Director in Leeds until 2007. Ian then moved on to JLT UK as a Regional MD in Leeds and Manchester from 2007 to 2009. In 2010, they joined JLT Specialty Ltd, Regional Risk Practice as a Sales & Marketing Director until 2012. From 2012 to 2020, they worked at JLT Specialty Ltd, Regional Risk Practice and Financial Lines Group, taking on the role of Head of Sales. In 2016, they became the Head of North Region and Head of Business Development, UK Retail at JLT Specialty. Their most recent position is as the Head of Corporate Risks at Bartlett Group Ltd, which they started in 2020.

Ian Scott attended Yeadon Westfield Juniors from 1974 to 1980. Following that, they went on to Leeds Grammar School from 1980 to 1987. The degree name and field of study for both educational institutions are unknown.
