Donal Byard

Donal Byard serves as the Chair of the Stan Ross Department of Accounting and holds the Irving Weinstein Professorship in Accountancy at Baruch College, City University of New York (CUNY). They teach financial accounting and reporting, financial statement analysis, and accounting theory, while conducting research on the use of accounting data by investors and the implications of accounting regulations. Donal previously held positions with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, Princeton University, and the University of Cincinnati, among other institutions. They earned a PhD in Accounting from the University of Maryland and have specialized in empirical market-based accounting research and financial reporting regulation, focusing on both US GAAP and IFRS.
