BASAS S.A. is a manufacturing and trading company specializing in bakery ovens and bakery machinery, operating in both the Greek and European markets.
The company’s history dates back to 1967 with the establishment of TEKMA by Vasileios Basas and Nikolaos Skoufalis, initially focused on the manufacturing of tubular and cyclothermic bakery ovens.
In the early 1970s, the production range was expanded to include French-type mixers and dough forming machines. As the years progressed and the demand from bakers increased for equipment that would improve productivity and working conditions, the need for the development, design, and manufacture of new machinery became essential. As a result, volumetric dough dividers, dough conveyors, conical rounders, and many other machines were added to the company’s portfolio.
The company assumed its current form in 2007, when TEKMA, after 40 years of operation, ceased its activities. At that point, Mr. Georgios Basas, together with Mr. Nikolaos Mitrakos, decided to continue their professional journey in the industry they had grown up in, founding BASAS S.A.
Today, BASAS S.A. manufactures and distributes state‑of‑the‑art bakery ovens and bakery machinery, fully aligned with the needs of modern bakers. The company has secured a significant share of the Greek market, serving both first‑ and second‑generation customers, and is recognized for delivering reliable, high‑quality bakery equipment.
Our primary objective is to remain close to our customers, to listen carefully to their needs and concerns, and through this process, to continuously enhance the quality of the products and services we provide.
