Ian Danby

Head of Biodiversity

Ian Danby is the Head of Biodiversity at BASC, where they collaborate with members and conservation agencies to achieve public conservation targets. Ian previously served as a Biodiversity Officer at BASC, where they developed the Green Shoots biodiversity program. They started their career as a freelance ecologist and also worked as a freshwater biologist for the Environment Agency. Ian holds a degree in Ecology and Environmental Management from the University of Wales, Cardiff, and has completed postgraduate certifications in Sustainable Leadership and Strategic Management.
