Jamie Macfarlane has had a varied and successful career. Jamie began their professional career in 2011 as a WPP Fellow, an exclusive global management program with an acceptance rate of 0.5%. During their time as a Fellow, they had a year-long placement at WPP offices around the world and was Head of Strategy at Mango Marketing, where they built one of WPP's first advertising agencies in Myanmar and won the largest advertising pitch in Myanmar history. In 2013, they took on a voluntary role as Chief Digital Officer for the Cambodia National Rescue Party, overseeing digital communications for the democracy movement in the 2013 general elections. In 2014, they moved to Penn Schoen Berland (WPP) as Senior Director. In 2017, they were a Venture Capital Summer Associate at The Raine Group. In 2018, they became Director of Transformation at WPP. In 2021, they joined baseimmune as Board Director. In 2022, they joined Apian and Loci as Board Director. Since 2019, they have been the CEO & Founder of Creator Fund, Europe's leading investor in university-based startups with teams across 28 campuses.

Jamie Macfarlane earned a Double 1st Class from the University of Oxford in 2009, majoring in Theirtory. Jamie then went on to pursue a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Stanford University Graduate School of Business, which they completed in 2018.
