Aliaksei Katovich has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Aliaksei worked as a Lead Engineer at Basemark starting in 2021. Previously, they held the position of Principal Software Engineer at Huawei Technologies from October 2015 to May 2021. Before that, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Samsung Electronics from August 2013 to August 2015, where they were involved in mobile OS research and development. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Software Engineer at Huawei from November 2012 to August 2013.

Earlier in their career, Aliaksei worked at Nokia from March 2005 to September 2012. During this time, they held various roles, including Senior Software Engineer, Software Engineer, and Integration Engineer. Aliaksei contributed to the development of the Maemo/MeeGo/Harmattan energy management software stack, developed Linux-based server platforms, and acquired expertise in areas such as IPMI and HPI.

Before joining Nokia, Aliaksei worked as a Software Engineer at SaM Solutions from October 2001 to March 2005. Aliaksei was responsible for developing Network Attached Storage (NAS) software and made contributions in areas like Samba and Netatalk.

Aliaksei began their career as a Technician at Production Amalgamation Belaruskali in February 1992, and later transitioned to the role of Software Engineer in August 1999.

Aliaksei Katovich attended Belarusian National Technical University from 1989 to 1999. Aliaksei obtained a Master of Science degree in Computer software and automated systems.
