Alaaeddin Alsbaiee

Alaaeddin Alsbaiee, PhD, is an R&D Manager at BASF and President of the Syrian American Academic Society (SAAS). Prior experience includes roles as a Senior Scientist and R&D Project Manager at DuPont, where they co-invented a successful polyurethane semiconductor pad family and received the "Talented 12" award from C&EN in 2021. Alsbaiee completed postdoctoral studies at Cornell University, inventing renewable polymers for water purification that led to a successful startup. They hold a PhD in Synthetic Organic Chemistry from the University of Alberta and have contributed significantly to sustainable development in chemical innovation and recycling technologies.
