Alexander Walzenbach

Alexander Walzenbach is a seasoned professional specializing in automation and predictive maintenance within the chemical engineering sector. Currently serving as the Senior Automation Manager at BASF since November 2010, Alexander oversees initiatives in predictive maintenance, reliability, and asset performance through advanced data analytics and machine learning. Previous roles include Manager of Automation Services, where leadership in manufacturing execution systems and operational management was provided, and Senior Automation Engineer, focusing on automation consulting and process optimization. With a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from Hochschule Mannheim, Alexander has also contributed to advanced process control studies during master’s and diploma thesis projects at BASF SE and The Linde Group, respectively.
