Anahit Galstyan is a Principal Scientist and Genomics team lead at BASF, with a focus on digital phenotyping since December 2021. Prior experience includes serving as a Visiting Researcher at the University of Cologne, where research concentrated on genetics, molecular biology, plant nutrition, and developmental plasticity, as well as a Senior Research Scientist at the MPIPZ - Max Planck Institute for Plant Breeding Research, specializing in developmental biology, evolution, and genetics. Previous roles also include Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Washington, investigating molecular interactions in Arabidopsis thaliana, and Ph.D. Researcher at the Centre for Research in Agricultural Genomics, dedicated to understanding shade avoidance syndrome components. Anahit holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics from Universitat de Barcelona and a Master's in Horticultural Genetics and Biotechnology from the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania, alongside foundational education in genetics and crop selection from Armenian National Agrarian University. Currently, Anahit is pursuing project management education at the Project Management Institute.
