Austin Meier

Austin Meier is a Breeding Systems Analyst I at BASF, with a strong background in plant breeding and genetics. Prior experience includes co-founding Sensiplicity LLC, where focus was on customer discovery and value proposition evaluation, and serving as a Postdoctoral Scholar at Oregon State University, contributing to the Planteome project under Dr. Jaiswal. Austin also worked as a Research Associate at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, building upon dissertation studies to draft a manuscript for the potato community. Previous roles include a Corn Discovery Co-op at Monsanto Company and a Production Technician II position at Integrated DNA Technologies. Austin Meier holds a PhD in Plant Breeding and Plant Genetics and a Bachelor of Science in Biology (genetics) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the University of Iowa, respectively.
