Bangaru Sampath is currently the Global Lead Research & Development for Sustainability at BASF, focusing on high temperature polyamide product development and innovation steering. Previously, they held various roles at BASF, including Senior Manager of Advanced Material and Systems Research and Technical Marketing Manager for Biopolymer Packaging. Bangaru completed a Doctor of Engineering in Polymer/Plastics Engineering from the University of Bayreuth and holds multiple degrees in chemistry and physical chemistry from institutions including the University of Madras and the National University of Singapore. They also contributed to energy research as a Research Assistant at the SPIC Science Foundation Center.
