Carl Schietekat

Carl Schietekat is a Technology Manager for Steam Cracker at BASF, where they focus on advancing technology in the steam cracking process. Previously, at Total Research & Technology Feluy, Carl worked as a Cracking Furnaces Engineer, conducting feasibility studies to optimize steam cracking furnaces. Carl earned a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, both with distinction, from Ghent University, where they also completed a PhD focusing on reaction mechanisms for steam cracking in Computational Fluid Dynamics simulations.
