Dan Houtz is currently the Head of Digitalization R&D North America at BASF, leading a team of digital scientists focused on advancing research through data science and machine learning. With extensive experience in various research roles at BASF, Dan has developed in vitro and in vivo assays, established cell-based assays, and spearheaded data science initiatives across multiple continents. Previously, Dan served as an adjunct faculty member at George Washington University and Cambridge College, teaching subjects related to biology and public health. Dan holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Towson University and a Master of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Duke University.
