Daniel van Herk

Daniel van Herk is a Global Category Buyer at BASF, where they have been working since 2019, focusing on procurement of Automation Equipment for production plants. In 2023, they became part of the management team for Procurement Benelux, overseeing equipment categories and local performance. Daniel holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Delft University of Technology, where they specialized in catalysis and high-throughput experimentation, and an MSc from the University of Amsterdam in Chemistry. Prior to their current roles, Daniel held various positions including Project Manager at hte GmbH, where they led teams in the development of state-of-the-art equipment for catalyst testing.
