Dr. Sven Bensmann currently serves as the Head of Technology at BASF, overseeing a global team focused on supporting Superabsorber plants and guiding a worldwide process community since February 2010. Prior roles at BASF include Production Manager for Adipic Acid Verbund, Process Manager for global polyisobutene production, Research Manager for Particle Formulations, and Research Engineer specializing in agglomeration and mixing processes. Dr. Bensmann began a career in process optimization as an intern at Evonik before completing a Dipl.-Ing. and a Dr.-Ing. in Chemical Engineering at TU Dortmund University.
