Edward Richmond

Edward Richmond is a PhD-level synthetic organic chemist with a strong background in both academic and industrial settings across the UK, France, Germany, and Switzerland. They completed a medicinal chemistry internship at Roche in 2008-2009, focusing on lead heterocyclic scaffold preparation. From 2014 to 2018, they served as a post-doctoral research associate at Université de Strasbourg, specializing in homogeneous catalysis and various research areas. Edward has worked as a research and development scientist at BASF from 2018 to 2023, concentrating on synthesis, homogeneous catalysis, and process chemistry. They hold a first-class MChem in Chemistry from the University of York and a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of St. Andrews.
