Erik Schmidt possesses extensive experience in project management and engineering, particularly in large capital projects across various sectors. Notable roles include Vice President Senior Project MDI and Vice President - Capital Projects North America at BASF, where responsibilities included overseeing major capital initiatives. Prior to this, Erik served as Senior Manager at EBAWE Anlagentechnik GmbH, focusing on solutions for precast factories, and as Project Manager at Tenova, executing projects related to open cast mining and bulk materials handling. Erik's military background includes significant leadership positions with the Bundeswehr, including Head of Technical and Maintenance Department and Deputy Chief Engineer in North Afghanistan. Erik holds an MBA in International Management from ESB Business School, Reutlingen University, and is also certified as an Occupational Health and Safety Engineer.
