Ferdinand Kiermaier

Ferdinand Kiermaier is currently the Director of the Center of Excellence - Negotiations and Analytics at BASF, where they lead initiatives in game theory, price risk management, and the integration of advanced analytics in strategic procurement processes. They have founded AOS smart business solutions, focusing on data and business analytics, and previously served as the Head of Advanced Analytics & Risk Management at BASF. Ferdinand was also a visiting researcher at The University of Texas at Austin and has contributed to significant projects at TU München as both a postdoctoral researcher and a PhD researcher. They hold a Master's degree in Computer Science, with a minor in Mathematics, and are pursuing a PhD in Operations Research / Applied Optimization, both from Technische Universität München.
