Geert Janssen is currently the Global Crop Technical Lead for Tomato at BASF Vegetable Seeds, where they focus on innovative crop solutions. Previously, they served as the head of breeding at Nunhems from 2012 to 2018 and led sugar beet breeding at Syngenta from 1998 to 2012. Geert earned a PhD in Plant Breeding and Genetics from Wageningen University & Research between 1986 and 1997.
