Gustavo Herrera

Gustavo Herrera is the South Soybean Breeding Manager at BASF, where they manage a team responsible for approximately 10 million hectares of soybeans in Macro Region 2. With over twenty-two years of experience in soybean breeding, Gustavo has a strong background in selection, varietal development, and compliance protocols, having previously held positions at Syngenta, Bayer Crop Science, Nidera, and FT - Sementes. Their current focus is on launching innovative I2X/XTD cultivars and exploring new technologies in soybean crop systems. Gustavo is also pursuing further education at Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná.
