Hans Baert has a diverse engineering background with experience spanning several prominent companies. Starting at DD Engineering from 1995 to 1999 as a Project Engineer focused on Process Safety, Hans transitioned to Procter & Gamble as an External Contractor specializing in Process and Thermal Safety and Pressure Vessels. In 1999, Hans joined Contec, progressing through roles from System Engineer to Software Lead Engineer, eventually becoming Project Manager before leaving in January 2007. Following a period at Janssen Pharmaceutica, first as a Senior Process and Plant Automation Engineer and subsequently as Principal Engineer for both Reliability and Process Control Systems, Hans spent a short time at BASF in 2019 as Sr. E&I Lead and Mechanical Lead. Since January 2020, Hans has served as Mechanical Lead at BASF. Hans holds a Master’s degree in Electro-Technical Engineering Mechanics from KU Leuven and an ASO diploma in Scientific subjects from College Veurne.
