Harold Bastiaans is the Vice President of Global R&D Insecticides and Seed Treatment at BASF, a position held since 2022. Previously, they served as Vice President of Research for Global Research Insecticides at BASF in 2014, and they have held various senior research roles at AgrEvo GmbH, Aventis CropScience, and Bayer CropScience from 1997 to 2003. Harold earned a Master's degree in Chemistry and a Master's degree in Pharmacology from Vrije Universiteit, Netherlands, followed by a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the same institution and a postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford University.
