Hazel Sprafke

Hazel Sprafke has extensive experience in the fields of chemistry and management, having held significant positions in various organizations. From March 2012 to February 2014, Hazel worked at UC Santa Barbara as the Assistant Director for Technology at the Dow Materials Institute. Prior to that, Hazel served as General Manager at Ionic Polymer Solutions from March 2009 to February 2012. At BASF, from June 2015 to March 2017, Hazel held multiple roles including Executive Staff and Senior Project Manager in Performance Chemicals, Vice President for Plastic Additives in the Asia Pacific region, and Head of Global Product Management for Coating Additives, among others. Hazel’s academic background includes a Master’s degree in Chemistry and a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Oxford, where studies were completed between 2000 and 2008, culminating in a postdoctoral research position from June 2008 to February 2009.
