James Flanagan has over 25 years of experience in the chemical and product development industries. Currently, James serves as Manager of Custom Systems Expertise at BASF, where responsibilities include fostering a continuous improvement mindset and leading communications across various teams. Previously, James held multiple roles at BASF, including Senior Data and Systems Specialist and Site Continuous Improvement Leader, and was a core team member on Project McIntosh Tomorrow, aimed at sustainable transformation within production sites. Prior to BASF, James managed the Product Development group at Transgenomic, focusing on the development and shipping of key instruments. James earned a PhD in Chemistry from Louisiana State University and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Spring Hill College.
