Jan Koerner is the Director of VAT at BASF SE, where they have been implementing SAP Tax Compliance for approximately 100 BASF Group Companies since October 2016, focusing on VAT Risk Management in Europe. They have served as a member of the VAT Expert Group representing the German Chambers of Commerce and German Industry Associations since 2012. Additionally, Jan took on the role of Vorstand member and Chair of Committee III at IDSt - Institut für Digitalisierung im Steuerrecht e.V. from 2021 to 2025. Jan also gained valuable experience as part-time Scientific Support for German VAT and CIT at Clifford Chance from 2000 to 2002 and holds a degree from Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz.
