Jan Remeysen

Jan Remeysen has extensive experience in the chemical industry, currently serving as Chairman of the Management Board and CEO at BASF since January 1996. Prior roles at BASF include Vice President positions in Isocyanates and Precursors, Corporate Operational Excellence, Polyamides and Precursors, and EHS, along with leadership in environmental services. Jan also has academic experience as a lecturer in 'Industrial Chemistry' at KU Leuven from September 2008 to September 2019 and has contributed to environmental care initiatives for SMEs as Project Lead at Strategisch Plan Limburg. Jan holds a Doctorate in Chemistry from KU Leuven, earned between 1986 and 1996.
