John Hilgart

John Hilgart is a Senior Network Security Engineer at BASF, where they have contributed to Internet Web Security for over 20 years. Previously, they were a Research Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, focusing on developing Monte Carlo simulations for Higgs boson searches, and have also worked at CERN and the Superconducting Super Collider. With expertise in network security, SASE, and various programming languages, John’s engineering discipline in IT Operations allows teams to manage diverse technologies efficiently. They hold a PhD in High Energy Physics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an AB in Physics and Math from the University of Chicago.
