Marcelo Lu

Marcelo Lu is an accomplished executive with extensive leadership experience in the chemical industry, currently serving as President for BASF South East Asia Pte. Ltd. since April 2006, focusing on the Asia Pacific region excluding Greater China. Prior to this role, Marcelo held various senior positions at BASF, including Senior Vice President of Care Chemicals in North America, Managing Director of BASF Canada, and Vice President of Marketing and Sales at BASF East Asia Headquarters, overseeing multiple business units and P&L responsibilities. Marcelo began a career in international development at The World Bank as a Junior Professional Associate. Marcelo holds a BSFS in Science Technology and International Affairs from Georgetown University and has pursued advanced education at INSEAD and ESSEC Business School.
